We have some really great roles on our job board this month, from advertising and law to some really exciting tech positions. Here’s a bit of a taster of what’s on offer…
Senior Software Engineer – JavaScript, Klarna
Klarna was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2005. Since then they have changed the banking industry forever. And now they’re creating the world’s smoothest shopping experience. They serve over 90 million consumers worldwide, and partner with 250,000 merchants, including some of the world’s leading brands, such as H&M, ASOS, IKEA, Adidas, Samsung and Lufthansa. Their offices are spread over 17 different markets, hosted by 5000+ employees from 100+ nationalities.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to join our brand new office in their newly formed location in London, United Kingdom. They work in small highly collaborative Agile teams. You and your team will have a clear mission and ownership of an important outcome that supports Klarna and customers. At Klarna they optimise for quality, flow, fast feedback, and time to market. To do this, they focus on end-to-end ownership, continuous improvement, testing, monitoring, and experimentation. They aim for teams that are inclusive, helpful, and have a strong sense of ownership for the things they build.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, along with strong coding ability in Javascript and experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks and API and product development.
Engineering Director, Doctolib
Doctolib provides patients with more transparent access to healthcare and a full suite of online services to manage their health: from finding nearby healthcare professionals to booking/managing appointments 24/7 online, having remote medical consultations via video and receiving a digital prescription in their online account. They provide healthcare professionals with a software solution with a full range of services to help improve the efficiency of their operations, provide their patients with a more seamless experience, attract new patients, and collaborate with other practitioners.
As an Engineering Director, you will be in charge of leading the engineering teams of the booking management services. Your goal is to become both a technical leader and a coach to the development of the team and to help the global tech team achieve its ambitious targets. You will report to the VP of Engineering in Germany and become the central point of leadership for this rapidly growing team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience overall and 5 years of managing managers experience. They will have previously aced back-end functionalities on MVC frameworks, have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues, bring solutions to the table, develop super robust and secure products with eXtreme programming practices. They will also need excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate both verbally and in writing a compelling vision.
Senior DevOps Engineer, iwoca
iwoca is breaking down the barriers that stop Europe’s 20 million small businesses from accessing finance. They believe finance should make life easier, not harder, for small businesses. When small businesses go to traditional lenders they are forced to deal with long waits, absurdly rigid criteria, and impersonal bureaucracies.
iwoca believes that small businesses deserve a financing service that strips out the hassle; that gets to know each customer’s needs; that generates opportunities instead of problems. iwoca is finance, custom-built to expand possibilities for small business.
As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for improving iwoca’s continuous development and integration pipelines. They use various tools and services including Gitlab CI, ELK & DataDog, managing the cloud environment on AWS and running web servers using Docker and ECS.
You will also be expected to work closely with the tech leads to help continuously push innovation in all areas of the business. They work in an agile manner which means features or projects go live in days or weeks rather than months or years so you will need to be comfortable with environments that embrace concepts like continuous integration and continuous delivery.
