Investors supporting BASH

The investment came from existing investors, including Sjuul Berden (founder of United Wardrobe) and Leon Ramakers (former director of Mojo).

The round has also been joined by new names such as Quinten Selhorst (founder of Felyx), Bastiaan de Rakt (founder of Enjins, Deeploy), Neil Currie and Gijsbert de Regt (founders of eVision), and Geert-Jan Smits (founder of Flinders).

Joris Oudejans, CEO & co-founder of BASH says, “We are pleased that, just like in the previous round, we have once again been financed exclusively by prominent entrepreneurs who will help us with the further growth of our company. With Bastiaan on board as an AI expert, and Quinten and Geert-Jan who bring experience in rapidly scaling up, both nationally and internationally.”

Brief about BASH

Founded in 2020 by Joris Oudejans, Elise Mol, Max Mijnheer, Joost Carpay and Shane Koppers, BASH is on a mission to enhance real-life experiences, providing a platform for discovering a variety of events and coordinating plans with friends.

The revenue model focuses on event organisers converting BASH’s reach into targeted ticket sales.

The BASH app covers nearly all events in Amsterdam, featuring a ‘hype score’ for a quick view of popular events. A key user favourite feature is the ability to track friends’ plans on the platform.

Co-founder Joris Oudejans says, “This financing is a vote of confidence in our vision and the hard work of our team over the past year. It allows us to continue the success in Amsterdam and introduce the whole of the Netherlands to our social event app.”

“We can’t wait to launch our app in other cities and continue our growth,” adds Oudejans.

The BASH team, consisting of eight members, aims to facilitate more variety of real-life activities for users.

Capital utilisation

BASH claims it will use the funds to enhance users’ ticket discovery and management experience significantly. The startup’s focus is on expanding across the Netherlands, targeting Rotterdam and Utrecht as the next cities on their list.

Oudejans says, “We can’t wait to launch our app in other cities and continue our growth. We invite everyone in Amsterdam to download the app and would love to hear if your city should be next.”
