Brief about Zero Friction
The founders of Zero Friction, Wim Jacobs, Yoni Nijs and Lars Van Elewijck, with their extensive experience in energy and software, were frustrated with the complexity and cost of software solutions in the energy sector.
In 2018, they resolved to simplify the industry, aiming to make sustainable energy and straightforward billing accessible to all, from large companies to startups. Their solution was a cloud platform that streamlines the process from meter to cash, reducing costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Zero Friction is dedicated to advancing digitalisation and the energy transition, providing digital tools for the heating and cooling market. The company looks to become the leading billing and customer interaction platform in Europe and beyond.
Capital utilisation
The funds will enable Zero Friction to grow its team, enhancing its ability to support existing customers and adapt to evolving heat regulations.
Additionally, the funds will facilitate further international expansion, with plans to extend operations to Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. Currently, the company has a presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and the UK.
Future growth and impact Zero Friction CEO Wim Jacobs says, “This new funding enables us to continue our mission and make an even greater impact on the energy transition in Europe. It is a recognition of the hard work of our team and the value we create for our customers.”
“We are, therefore, incredibly proud of the trust our investors have placed in us and look forward to expanding our fantastic team, continuing to serve our customers and expanding our international footprint.”
Through these strategic investments and expansion plans, Zero Friction aims to collaborate with customers and partners to build a future where affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy is accessible to all.
