Amsterdam-based INTERSTELLAR, an IT service provider, announced that it has acquired Amersfoortโs Felton. Established in 1985, Felton claims to be an experienced player in secure Information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure.
Felton has over 35 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing safe and up-to-date IT infrastructures. The company offers Cloud Services, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, and Outsourcing.
Currently, Feltonโs Amersfoort office has 65 employees with customers across the Netherlands. In 2020, the company became part of TIIN Capitalโs portfolio, aided by the Dutch Security TechFund and subsequently merged with Lantech.
And this acquisition will not change Feltonโs current management, and founder Stan Bridiรฉ will remain on board as an advisor.
Marnix van der Moolen, Felton CEO, says, โOver the past few years, TIIN Capital has helped Felton become what it is today. Now, with INTERSTELLAR, we have a strategic shareholder. That facilitates our continued growth and enhances our security and cloud proposition.โ
Aim of the acquisition
This deal is aimed at advancing INTERSTELLAR and Feltonโs growth goals and enhancing their ability to support customers in transitioning to stable and innovative IT environments.
INTERSTELLAR, which includes 700 employees and a โฌ165M turnover, claims that the acquisition of Felton positions the combined entity as a top agency for helping SMEs tackle cloud, cybersecurity, and modern workplace challenges.
Felton, as part of INTERSTELLAR, aims to boost its cloud and security services with the advantages of the groupโs scale. The acquisition strengthens INTERSTELLARโs portfolio, expanding its mid-market presence and footprint in the Central Netherlands.
Maarten van Montfoort, INTERSTELLAR CEO, says, โWe aim to serve customers as the Netherlandsโ principal IT service provider. We do that by acquiring the right knowledge and expertise in-house and continuously developing our skills โ independently and through acquisitions.โ
โFeltonโs core identity makes them a flawless fit for this mission. The company culture is a good match for how INTERSTELLAR works, and so are the customers, portfolio, and common Microsoft-first strategy,โ adds Van Montfoort.
