Amsterdam-based Nedscaper, a company that claims to be a leader in modern security operations, announced that Menno van der Marel, founder of Fox IT, has joined the cybersecurity scale-up as Chief Strategy Officer.
Additionally, Van der Marel is injecting €2.2M in investment to fuel the company’s continued growth.
Leveraging his expertise, Van der Marel aims to propel Nedscaper to a prominent position in the cybersecurity landscape.
He says, “Nedscaper is unique as a leading full focus cybersecurity expert with a focus on Microsoft solutions. An ideal combination, as Microsoft today has an excellent security portfolio that seamlessly integrates with all Microsoft-based IT. What could be better for clients than to combine the two?”
“I am excited to use my experience and network to further shape their growth and development together with the Nedscaper team. Also, the social aspect by creating cyber jobs for underprivileged youth in South Africa appeals to me personally.”
Capital utilisation
Nedscaper plans to use funds to drive expansion in the managed security services market. The primary objective is to enhance and secure a greater number of organisations against contemporary cyber threats.
This will involve elevating their security posture through continuous 24×7 detection and response services.
Additionally, Nedscaper will allocate resources to intensify monitoring in the realms of IoT (Internet of Things) and OT (Operational Technology) environments.
Thomas Verwer, Founder of Nedscaper says, “In recent years there has been an awful lot of interest from investors, but this time we couldn’t say no. Menno, with Fox IT, has previously completed the chapter which we are now entering.”
“He’s a great entrepreneurial fit for the team, sometimes you have to divide to multiply, and we really do that with bringing Menno onboard. With his experience in the cybersecurity world, he is going to actively accelerate Nedscaper to become an established and leading international player.”
