Sexual wellbeing has a substantial impact on people’s health and happiness. But there is very little awareness about it. According to experts, around 50% of the people across the globe are unsatisfied with their sex life.

However, only 1 out of 5 seeks professional help and those who do wait on average four years before taking that step. The topic of sexual wellness has been taboo so far, but with more exposure, the importance of sexual happiness is being recognized more openly.

Various solutions are offered to this issue on the Internet or in the form of authorized, licensed experts. But they are either ineffective, unaffordable, or not trustworthy. In this regard, Emjoy helps you find sexual happiness & fulfillment through guided audios.

Raised €1 million!

In the latest news, Emjoy, wellbeing app has raised €1 million in a seed round from pan-European VC Nauta Capital. The company is planning to use the capital to support its go-to-market strategy in the U.K. and U.S., and double its team.

Why Emjoy?

Available on both App Store and Google Play, Emjoy app offers more than 80 audio sessions to assist users to improve their sexual wellbeing. It includes practical guides, meditation sessions, and communication tips.

Educates, motivates, and empowers women!

Based out of Barcelona, Emjoy’s proprietary audio content covers topics including how to boost libido, developing self-knowledge, increasing pleasure, improving sexual communication, and features experts in fields of psychology, sex therapy, education, and mindfulness.

These contents are created specifically to help improve self-esteem and self-knowledge, desire, satisfaction, mental stimulation, and communication.

Andrea Oliver Garcia said:

I have always considered myself a feminist, and as I grew up, I realised that many girlfriends of mine lived their sexuality with shame and knew very little about themselves – some even doubting if they had or hadn’t experienced an orgasm.

Then I came across several studies such as the pleasure gap and sexual wellbeing reports showing that cis-gendered heterosexual women consistently experience less pleasure than their male counterparts. Shockingly, data from several studies show that over 40% of women struggle to attain orgasm and that 30% of women worldwide experience libido issues.

Reliable and researched-backed content!

This app was founded by Andrea Oliver Garcia and Daniel Tamas in 2018. This platform is focused on empowering women to improve their relationship with sex and help them take responsibility for their pleasure through reliable and researched-backed content.

With this platform, Emjoy aims to be the category leader in the growing FemTech market as it is predicted to be a $50 billion market by 2025. According to the founders, this app is a small contribution to the world, achieving several UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Commenting on the investment, Jordi Vinas, Nauta Capital’s General Partner said:

Having closely worked with Andrea for many years, we’ve seen first-hand her passion and knowledge on what it takes to build a scalable. Global business. We are delighted to partner with Emjoy early in their journey as they tackle an important issue which has been ignored for far too long.
