An increasing number of young tech startups are choosing to take the incubator/accelerator route in order to start and develop their businesses. These platforms have proven to be effective launchpads for entrepreneurs who want to establish a scalable and robust business.

First virtual chapter in Paris

In an attempt to help the promising technology startups in France, the Founder Institute, a leading pre-seed accelerator, has launched its first virtual chapter in Paris. This cohort will also be held completely online, in order to ensure the health and safety of the program’s mentors, partners, and participants. According to the company, the online program aims to help build 20+ promising technology companies per cohort in France

Based out of Silicon Valley, the pre-seed accelerator provides the entrepreneurs and teams with the devoted support network and structured growth process needed to get traction and funding. A few months back, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Founder Institute shifted all of its programs to a virtual platform.

More about Founder Institute Paris Virtual 2021

According to the accelerator, the Founder Institute Paris Virtual 2021 will host a series of free online startup events, where attendees can learn how to build a company and learn more about the program. Leading the efforts to launch the Founder Institute Paris Virtual 2021 are Alexandre Jeissou, Duong Vu, Raphael Bellec, Vera Baker, and Wen Hu.

The first virtual Paris chapter launches in partnerships with La French Tech Tremplin, 50inTech, Afrobytes, AGK, ARRadvisory, For Colored Girls Who Tech, MMA, Ottho, Oxygen, Sky, and Winston & Strawn LLP.

Furthermore, many of the region’s top startup investors, founders, and executives have expressed interest in mentoring entrepreneurs in the program as well.

What to expect?

According to the Founder Institute, aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to:

  • Get constant feedback and regular office hours with 50+ European Mentors, investors, and entrepreneurs.
  • Make quick progress on their business using a proven, structured process to get to traction and funding that has helped alumni build great products and raise over $950M (approx €800M) in funding.
  • Get fast-tracked to a suite of post-programs, including Funding Lab, to continue getting expert support for years to come.
  • Expand their support network to include startup founders, CEOs, and investors from the Founder Institute’s global network of 4,500+ alumni and 18,000+ mentors across 200+ cities.

The Founder Institute was founded in 2009 by Adeo Ressi and Jonathan Greechan. It is based out of Palo Alto, California. According to the company, it has helped launch over 4,500 companies across 200+ cities and six continents.

According to the company, the first Founder Institute program methodology was crowdsourced by over 10,000 CEO members of TheFunded.com, and the inaugural program started in May 2009 in a small classroom at Stanford University. In total, Founder Institute Alumni have raised over $950M and are worth an estimated $30B (approx €25M).
