Working for a tech startup can be one of the most challenging, exhilarating, and fulfilling career moves a person can make. We know the world seems a bit uncertain at the moment, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. What is this light, I hear you ask? Well, a number of Europe’s most exciting startups are back actively hiring, and they want to recruit incredible people like you! 

So, we decided to put a list of some roles together, to show you what is on offer in the world of Europe tech.

iOS Developer, Stanwood. 

Stanwood helps companies unleash their true digital potential by creating beautifully designed, high-performing apps and websites that clients and users love. They transform businesses by creating new sales channels and digital marketplaces for customers. 

At the moment, they are looking for an experienced iOS developer who has a strong sense of ownership for team projects in a highly agile working environment, great attention to detail while keeping complexity at bay. This position requires deep customer-focused thinking, strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the willingness to work remotely.

Test Manager, Deliveroo. 

Deliveroo is on a mission to be the definitive food company. They solve complex problems in real-time, connecting millions of customers with thousands of restaurants and riders to deliver food in more than 200 cities in 12 countries. All in under 30 minutes.

Deliveroo Finance is delivering a transformation programme to ensure the teams, processes, and systems across Finance are optimally configured to best support the company in the execution of its strategy to achieve growth and profitability. The role will report into the Finance Projects Team and will be tasked with delivering the testing activities for a major project transforming our source-to-pay (S2P) systems and processes.

Automation Tester, Greensill.

Greensill is the market-leading provider of working capital finance for companies globally. They unlock capital so the world can put it to work. Founded in 2011 by Lex Greensill, the company is headquartered in London with offices in New York, Chicago, Miami, Frankfurt, Bremen, and Sydney, with more than 500 specialists worldwide.

In this role, you will be working on Greenfield development from the ground up of a new cutting edge financial transaction platform designed to optimise working capital and cash flow. They are looking for someone capable of hands-on testing across these platforms as well as the associated website.

Commercial Contract Negotiator, Babylon Health. 

Babylon is the U.K’s leading digital healthcare service. Their purpose is to democratise healthcare by putting an accessible and affordable health service into the hands of every person on earth. In order to achieve this, Babylon has brought together one of the largest teams of scientists, clinicians, mathematicians, and engineers to focus on combining the ever-growing computing power of machines with the best medical expertise of humans to create a comprehensive, immediate and personalised health service and make it universally available.

This is an exciting role, sitting alongside the company’s commercial and legal teams, acting as a ‘deal maker’, negotiating high-value and complex deals, and commercial arrangements (with a focus on value-based care/risk agreements).

Financial Crime Data Scientist, Monzo. 

Monzo Bank Ltd is an online bank based in the United Kingdom. Monzo was one of the earliest of a number of new app-based challenger banks in the UK. 

Monzo is looking for a curious, adaptable Financial Crime Data Scientist to join their team.

You’ll be working in the intersection between data, engineering, and our financial crime functions, forming part of a high performing cross-disciplinary squad consisting of both data and engineering. You will be responsible for building downstream data models from backend services, identifying and driving process efficiency, and ensuring timeliness and completeness of their financial crime data. You will be working in particular on important data assets within their financial crime regulatory and reporting space.

Front-end Developer, DocPlanner.

With over 30 million unique patients and over 2 million bookings every month, DocPlanner is the leading healthcare booking platform globally. They list more than 2 million healthcare professionals with a total of 3 million patient reviews on their websites in 15 countries. The company was founded in 2012 in Poland and now boasts a team of more than 1,300 based across offices in Warsaw, Barcelona, Istanbul, Rome, Mexico City, Curitiba, and Bologna. 

And the company is now looking to expand with new team members in order to revolutionise healthcare! You will join a young team of developers happy to share with you their knowledge and enthusiasm. You will actively participate in designing, implementing and supporting the development, optimisation, test and monitoring systems of new features for web/mobile applications that are used by millions of users every day;

Engineering Manager, infarm. 

Passionate to eat better, Infarm was founded in Berlin in 2013 by Osnat Michaeli and the brothers Erez and Guy Galonska. With the aim to share the goodness of own-grown produce with everyone, they developed a smart modular farming system, that allows distribution of farms throughout the urban environment, growing fresh produce in any available space and fulfilling any market demand.

Infarm is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team. The Software team is responsible for monitoring, automating, and controlling the vertical farms to provide the highest quality crops, while also supporting the logistics of operations along with the crop life cycle and monitoring the quality of the crops to drive operational improvements. 

Full Stack Engineer, Healx.

Healx is a fast-growing Cambridge, UK startup combining computational methods and drug discovery expertise to identify existing drugs that may treat rare diseases, enabling treatments to be found at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional drug discovery. 

Currently, they are looking for a full-stack software developer to join their solutions and data groups. You’ll be working across our platform to build tools to support your colleagues, including pharmacologists, curators, bioinformaticians, and other software developers. You’ll be expected to understand the desired business outcomes and technical constraints and balance these to find solutions that have the most impact.
