Running your own startup can be exhausting and empowering at the same time. Attending events can be a great way to relax and network in a casual environment, while gaining some new skills and inspiration at the same time. Here is an overview of some interesting startup events this week that might interest founders and aspiring startups as well as investors.

Friday November 18th: [email protected] Sessions

The bumps in his road, his way to success, the sleepless nights and the moments of joy. Vincent Oord, CTO of CocoonApp will tell us all about it at the second edition of the HvA’s Friday afternoon Startup Sessions. How did he make his idea for a recruitment app work? What path did he follow? Interesting for anyone, student or not, that could use some inspiration for their own (startup) ideas, and especially worth attending for anyone involved in a recruitment or HR oriented startup.

Friday 18 November, 15.00 at the ACE Amstelcampus (Wibauthuis), Amsterdam. Entrance is free! Register here

The SIA made their first selection in June this year, and the twelve winners will present their prototypes during this event. If you fit into any of these categories, then please sign up!

Friday 18 November, 19.00 at Studio HvA, Amsterdam. Entrance is free! Register here

Saturday November 19th: LeanCamp

Source Institute, Firmhouse, GrowthTribe and TQ are hosting LeanCamp. This event is an “unconference” about Lean Startup, Lean UX, Agile Development and Design Thinking. The organizers describe their event as “an open, interactive, high energy, multi-track event for founders and innovators”. Due to the unconference format, everyone attending gets the chance to drive the agenda. Participants get the chance to contribute, and to interact with thought-leaders and experienced founders.

Saturday 18 November, 09.00 to 4pm at TQ, Singel 452, Amsterdam. Tickets only € 11.55.
