Vinted Go, the shipping arm of Lithuania-based secondhand fashion marketplace Vinted, announced that it has acquired Dutch delivery startup Homerr. The financial value of the deal has not been disclosed.
This acquisition will boost both companies’ expertise in C2C (customer-to-customer) delivery through shared knowledge and greater scalability between the two companies.
It will also allow Vinted Go to expand its network of pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) locations with plans already underway for implementation in nine cities in France. So far, it has successfully launched in Paris, with plans for Lille, Lyon, and Marseille.
The deal allows Homerr to continue to operate under its own brand. Founders Juriaan Matthijssen and Mark-Jan Pieterse will assume senior positions within the merged company.
“We have closely worked together with Vinted Go for some time now and we see a great opportunity in deepening the partnership to accelerate our growth in shaping innovative delivery solutions with a lower impact on the climate,” Matthijssen and Pieterse say in a statement.
“We believe that joining forces and sharing our expertise and skills in operations with Vinted’s scale, will allow us to enable further innovation for the future,” add the pair.
“Since Vinted members are a key part of its customer base, we have worked closely with the Homerr team. During this time we have been impressed with both their innovative offering and their passionate approach towards continuous improvement,” says Vytautas Atkočaitis, vice president of Vinted Go.
“We’re excited for a shared future in which we’re able to deepen the expertise and reach of both businesses to the benefit of Vinted members.”
Homerr’s scope of service
According to Homerr, around 30 per cent out of the 200 million parcels delivered to consumers were not delivered correctly in 2015. This situation caused frustration among consumers as well as harm to the environment. Homerr was founded to solve this problem by giving consumers control over where and when their parcels are delivered.
Homerr has invested in innovative solutions to make last-mile delivery more efficient and sustainable since 2016. The company reduces unnecessary kilometres and CO2 emissions by using existing routes and empty space in delivery vans.
The company has over 2,000 collection points across the Netherlands and Belgium. These collection points, called HomerrPoints, allow consumers to send or receive parcels within a short distance of their homes.
The HomerrPoints network includes SocialPoints, where individuals provide their homes as pick-up locations, and ServicePoints – local businesses such as coffee shops or bakeries. Homerr allows anyone to sign up and become a trusted drop-off point provider.

Vinted Go is Vinted’s latest addition to its line of services. In a LinkedIn post, Vinted announced Vinted Go as a distinct shipping brand operating within the Vinted Group.
Launched in early 2022 using its existing shipping function, Vinted Go aims to develop cost-effective and environmentally friendly shipping solutions. The platform will combine and optimise a multi-market delivery partner network that can offer its users well-priced delivery solutions for businesses.
