Meet the 6 startups joining imec.istart’s Summer 2024 cohort

The imec.istart accelerator programme has announced the addition of six new startups to its Summer 2024 cohort. These companies are set to introduce transformative innovations across various industries.

imec.istart, imec’s open accelerator programme, provides tech startups with pre-seed funding and tailored support to foster global growth.

Meet the six new startups

Dexr – Founded by Leonard Tam, Carl Boel, Kim Note and Michiel Van den Camp, Dexr is a Ghent-based startup transforming XR learning and training by making it accessible and cost-effective.

Ditar – Led by Alexandra Macsimov and Dan Tatar, Brussels-based Ditar aims to transform the optical industry with its Augmented Reality solutions, helping eyewear brands innovate their customer experience.

Jump Energy – This Nairobi-based startup was co-founded by Jonas Van Eyck, Bart Venmans, Andreas Creten, Stef Venmans and Elie Devlieger. Jump Energy empowers zero-emission mobility by providing high-quality battery management solutions for commercial fleets.

Prismos – The Brussels-based startup offers personalised political insights in real-time tailored for public affairs professionals across Europe.

Rebin – Ghent-based Rebin, co-founded by Emilio Van Der Linden, Simon De Geyter and Kyanu Delrue, aims to transform asset management with its software, that offers real-time monitoring, streamlined collection routes, and actionable insights for businesses and governments.

ReqConAndreas Withaeckx and Hendrik Bostoen co-founded ReqCon, an AI-powered copilot for the construction industry, simplifying project requirement management with a centralised platform. The Antwerp-based startup offers features such as centralised project requirements, real-time updates, and automated compliance verification.

What can the startups expect?

Through the imec.istart accelerator programme, the selected startups will receive resources such as funding, mentorship, access to advanced technology, and a supportive network that fosters growth and success. 

The programme is committed to nurturing these young companies and helping them realise their full potential.

Since 2011, imec.istart has invested in over 300 companies, selecting around 30 high-potential startups each year for its 12-month programme in Belgium. Committed to long-term success, imec.istart continues to support founders through its extensive alumni network.
