Apple launches refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro, is it the ultimate work from home laptop for entrepreneurs?

Working from home is the new normal currently and we can all expect to be working from home till the situation gets better. However, one needs certain tools at their disposal for working efficiently, be it from home or from an office. It can be argued that alongside a smartphone, a fast and powerful laptop is the most critical device required. Well, Apple has just announced its refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro. Let’s take a look at the new laptop to see whether it can be your perfect work from home laptop. 

Apple refreshes its 13-inch MacBook Pro

Apple has announced a refresh for its portable 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro. This new version addresses some major issues which plagued users on the laptop’s predecessor. The highlight here is changing the keyboard mechanism from the unreliable butterfly switch to the new Magic Keyboard, which uses scissor switches for better typing experience and Apple now uses this on all its laptops. 

In addition, the new MacBook Pro 13 gets refreshed new processors. The laptop is available with Intel’s latest 10th Generation CPUs along with the 8th Gen Intel processor option. The base storage is upgraded to 256GB, up from 128GB. Those who buy the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 version can also get upto 1TB of storage that can be expanded up to 4TB. The new MacBook Pro 13 will be available for €1,499 via apple.com and the Apple Store app with delivery slated to start later this week.

Apple MacBook Pro 13: The best work from home laptop for entrepreneurs?

The refresh for the 13-inch MacBook Pro was due for a long time but is it the best work from home laptop for entrepreneurs? Well, it depends on what your requirements are. If you perform web browsing, light multitasking and work on word processing or presentations, the 8th Generation Intel chip powered variant of the laptop should be more than enough for your needs. However, if you are a power user or a creator that needs more powerful hardware, the 10th Gen Intel-powered variant of the MacBook Pro 13 should serve you better.
