Last update:

Ghent legaltech startup Jureca that offers online legal advice for set fees, acquired online legal forum Juridischforum.be for an undisclosed sum. According to Datanews, Jureca.be and Juridischforum.be will continue to run independently from each other.

However

Both will have very clear links to each other. By combining the initiatives, Jureca wants to create a system of step-by-step legal assistance, whereby legal seekers always receive free advice first. “They can then compare a transparent overview of relevant legal solutions at a fixed price”, it sounds.

In July last year, Jureca also took over the lawyer database from the former Zoekadvocaat.be. “Jureca.be gives lawyers the opportunity to digitize their services faster and to offer them in line with the demands of the modern consumer”, says founder Edgar Warmoes. “The consumer has already changed, the legal services now have to come.”

Jureca.be counts about 20,000 visitors every month, Legal Forum.be about 240,000.
