Harlem-based Health Cloud Initiative (HCI), a company that develops software for professionals in healthcare, on Monday, announced that it has acquired the shares of SpotOnMedics, a provider of EHR software for physical therapists from VvAA.
The acquisition enables both companies to better respond to the rapidly changing healthcare market and contribute to a higher quality of care.
After the acquisition, SpotOnMedics will continue to operate independently under the HCI umbrella, with the current team and from the Hoofddorp office.
SpotOnMedics: Helps physical therapists manage their processes
Founded in 2011, SpotOnMedics offers an all-in-one platform that allows physical therapists to efficiently manage their practice processes from one online environment.
SpotOnMedics FysioOne is the basis of the platform, offering a proven fast physio EPD along with a calendar and quality module.
The BI tool, SpotOnMedics Intelligence, provides physiotherapists and practice owners with insights based on data into their practice processes and results. It also allows for comparison between different practices if desired.
The SpotOnMedics platform is accessed by over 6,500 users daily, and its customers collectively serve more than 1.2 million patients annually through our platform.
Meanwhile, the best features of the various HCI solutions will be merged into one powerful platform for paramedics.
Geert van den Enden, managing director of SpotOnMedics, says, “New laws and regulations and new forms of collaboration around the client are constantly placing new demands on software and innovation. With HCI as a partner, we can accelerate our innovations and serve the paramedical market even better. We are proud to be part of the ‘HCI family’ and look forward to working together!”
Health Cloud Initiative: Provides software solutions for healthcare
Founded in 2021, Health Cloud Initiative (HCI) brings together renowned EHR, PBM, and eHealth specialists with more than 30 years of experience.
HCI provides software solutions for primary care, mental health, and paramedic practices.
With labels such as HCI GGZ, Evry, FysioRoadmap, NICE Software, Incura, Quli, Embloom, and Your Care Online, the platform supports over 40,000 healthcare providers and 3.5 million people.
Marc Prette, CEO of HCI, says, “With SpotOnMedics, we are taking a leading position among physical therapists. By combining the strengths of the various HCI solutions, the best software becomes available to an even larger group of professionals and clients. This will allow us to make an even greater impact to make care easier and better. I look forward to continuing to work with the SpotOnMedics team to realising this ambition.”
VvAA: A cross-professional collective
VvAA is a cross-professional collective of over 130,000 healthcare professionals, offering support for members to work autonomously and professionally.
The platform connects, represents, and collaborates with healthcare professionals and their organisations, providing a wide range of products and services, including development programs, risk coverage, private insurance, and legal and financial services.
This year, VvAA celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Miranda Hendriks, CFRO VvAA, says, “We are pleased to have entered into this agreement with HCI and have concluded this agreement with HCI. It allows them to take an even stronger position in the healthcare field.”
“We are confident that HCI will provide the continuity that the customers and employees of SpotOnMedics deserve. Because SpotOnMedics is at its core a software company, there was less synergy with our products and services. Therefore, we have decided to sell SpotOnMedics. We look back on a pleasant cooperation in the past few years,” adds Hendriks.
