Norway’s Visma has acquired Utrecht-based software company Your Next Concepts, known for its products SQill, EduTasQ, and Academy Attendance. Visma BV acquired all activities of Your Next Concepts.
Neither company has disclosed the financial details of the agreement.
Your Next Concepts will join Visma Advitrae-Xedule, a division of Visma BV specialising in software solutions for educational institutions in the Netherlands.
Aim of the acquisition
The collaboration aims to streamline educational logistics by combining expertise from both companies.
Your Next Concepts will continue to operate under its own name, while Visma Advitrae-Xedule maintains its partnerships with other organisations, preserving customer choice in partner selection.
Casper van Schuppen, co-founder of Your Next Concepts, says, “To realise our mission of ‘good education for everyone’, a broad chain approach to education is necessary. In Visma Advitrae – Xedule we have found the partner with whom we will shape the education of the future, in order to realise our mission.”
“We are convinced that we can contribute even more to the education of today and the education of the future. The starting point of this collaboration is that the takeover of the activities of Your Next Concepts, by Visma BV, gives the continuity of the service to our customers an even stronger foundation.”
“The employees involved will remain active from our location in Utrecht. We are very much looking forward to the collaboration with our new colleagues from Visma Advitrae – Xedule.”
Innovation in educational logistics
Founded in 2011, Your Next Concepts specialises in improving educational processes through innovative data and technology solutions.
The company develops software to help educational institutions organise, streamline, and optimise activities such as curriculum management, planning, attendance tracking, and educational data analysis.
Karin Kuster, MD at Visma Advitrae – Xedule, says, “Our customers have indicated that they need systems that seamlessly connect, collaborate efficiently and minimise manual tasks. We already provide a planning and scheduling application for secondary and higher education (Xedule, My Xedule and Formatie (Foleta)).”
“With the acquisition of software company Your Next Concepts, we now have a leading party in the field of educational development, registration and attendance registration, which makes it easier for teachers to manage and set up educational programs and offers students more flexibility and freedom of choice in their learning paths.”
“This collaboration is an expansion of our service market position, which will enable us to meet the needs of education even better.”
