Nora Bavey, General Partner at Unconventional Ventures, says, “Flox is tackling one of the world’s most overlooked yet urgent challenges; human-wildlife conflict through a highly scalable, tech-driven solution.”

“With a bold vision, deep sector knowledge, and early traction across multiple industries and geographies, the team is poised to transform how we coexist with nature. We’re proud to support Flox on their mission to turn a global problem into a sustainable, cross-border opportunity.”

AI that understands and speaks to wild animals

Flox is a wildlife-intelligence company using AI to interpret and respond to animal behaviour. The company’s Edge sensors operate continuously and stream data to the Wildlife Platform.

The system is designed to enable coexistence between wildlife and humans across runways, rail corridors, farmlands, and other areas. It produces safety and environmental reports and aims to replace traditional deterrents with real-time data-driven interaction.

The company developed its platform over four years of research and trials in collaboration with wildlife biologists and industry partners.

The funding comes after Flox launched Edge. The company’s 2025 production batches are fully booked. It’s an autonomous device, connected to the Flox Wildlife Platform, that operates continuously to support wildlife and infrastructure across sectors including agriculture, aquaculture, railways, and aviation.

Flox is already collaborating with partners like WWF, Alstom, Boliden Minerals, GRR Airport and Swedish Transport Administration.

Capital utilisation

Flox will use the funding to scale its technology, support human-wildlife coexistence at critical sites, and expand into the US. The investment will drive commercialisation, ongoing R&D, and growth through venture capital, research grants, and commercial revenue.

Sara Nozkova, CEO and Co-founder of Flox, says, “Flox is the first company that truly aims to understand and speak the language of wild animals—and that will change everything.”

“With the explosion of AI capabilities, our deep understanding of wildlife behaviour and partnerships with leading wildlife research institutes and NGOs, the timing is perfect. We’re sitting on enormous untapped potential to put AI to good and redefine how industries interact with nature, not just for protection but for real coexistence.”
