Amsterdam's Toppi closes first investment round, appoints Emiel van Dongen as new CTO 

Amsterdam-based Toppi, a hospitality tech startup, announced the completion of its first investment round.

This round was led by Ollie Dapper and William van Lith of X Investments, whose early mentorship has developed into a long-term partnership.

“What makes this especially meaningful is that our journey together began just with their advice and guidance, and has grown into a partnership we’re truly proud of,” says Will Everingham, co-founder of Toppi.

In addition to the funding, the Dutch company also announced the appointment of Emiel van Dongen as CTO & Co-founder.

With over a decade of experience in Python, AI, data science, and infrastructure, Emiel is set to play a crucial role in shaping Toppi’s product strategy and scaling its technology.

Toppi: Improving local marketing

Toppi is a company founded by Will Everingham, Lars van Tilburg, and Emiel van Dongen to improve local marketing for restaurants, cafés, bars, and hotels.

They recognised the inefficiencies in the industry and combined their marketing, technology, and data expertise to create AI-powered solutions tailored for hospitality.

Founded in the spring of 2024, the Dutch company aims to connect online impressions with real-world customers.
