Angel investors who participated include:
- Chris Tottman, founding partner of Notion Capital
- Lestat McCree, founder of Healf
- Rubén Domínguez Ibar, scout at Andreessen Horowitz and founder of The VC Corner newsletter
- Guillermo Flor, founder of another newsletter and podcast and a VC
With this move, etn aims to create a technology show similar to TBPN, a daily live video podcast that started around eleven months ago. Hosted by John Coogan and Jordi Hays, the show covers news on the latest technology trends.
Co-founded ETSL
Before etn, the founding duo — Ronan Chambers and Luke Knight briefly co-founded a European tech show called ETSL, which ended its operation a few weeks after launching this summer.
After discontinuing ETSL, Chambers left his role on the go-to-market team at Salesforce, following the company’s acquisition of his previous company, Convergence, in July.
“Last week, I resigned from Salesforce after the Convergence acquisition. Now Luke Knight and I plan to save the European Technology Media ecosystem,” says Chambers on a LinkedIn post.
“Following a brief stint with ETSL, a live technology show, we realised that the problem was much bigger. Europe’s tech media ecosystem is dying; Tech Crunch Europe, Business Insider London, and now TNW – it is slowly on its way out. And Europe deserves better…” adds Chambers.
The duo will be live-streaming the technology show on every Tuesday and Thursday on X and LinkedIn.
