Amsterdam-based TRACT, a sustainability performance measurement platform, has secured €18.6M in a Series A funding round led by climate tech venture capital firm Icos Capital.
Icos Capital is a European venture capital firm investing at the intersection of sustainability, digitalisation, and industry.
“Supply chain traceability is key to preventing deforestation and making emissions transparent,” says Nityen Lal, Founding Partner at Icos Capital. “Through our Collaborative Venturing Platform with leading agrifood and chemical corporates, we back innovations like TRACT that turn complex supply chain data into real climate action.”
Other participating investors include Invest International, Future Food Fund, Rabo Investments, Pymwymic, and Working Capital Fund.
The funding will support accelerating the company’s expansion, integration with data systems, and continued onboarding of global clients managing complex sourcing portfolios.
TRACT: Measures sustainability performance
TRACT was created by Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company, and Olam Food Ingredients (OFI), with help from other companies in the supply chain and non-profit organisations.
The platform measures sustainability performance in the agriculture and food industry.
It offers clear metrics and methods for multiple product categories.
The Dutch company helps businesses visualise their supply chain sustainability and gain insights, enabling them to focus on making a positive impact.
At present, the company’s platform is used by the world’s largest CPG brands and commodity traders to map supply chains and monitor sourcing risk.
“Resilient supply chains are the foundation of a more equitable and sustainable food system,” says Allison Kopf, CEO of TRACT. “Sourcing leaders are under pressure to manage more risk, more data, and more complexity than ever before. This funding accelerates our next phase of growth as we scale the platform and support the companies shaping the future of responsible sourcing.”
TRACT helps clients connect supplier data with the insights they need to manage risk and build resilience, working with products like cocoa, coffee, corn, and cotton.
The company operates globally, linking supplier data to procurement processes.
