Utrecht’s Achmea backs Amsterdam-based The Micro Habit Company to transform workplace well-being

Utrecht-based Achmea, a financial company that provides insurance, mortgages, savings, and investments, has announced an acceleration partnership with the Amsterdam-based The Micro Habit Company.

Achmea’s Innovation Hub aims to find key challenges in Dutch society and create new businesses that make a positive impact.

“The Micro Habit Company has built an effective and scalable digital model. Our hub provides access to an extensive network of expertise and both private and public contacts. With this, we give us the ideal basis for TMHC to start scaling up,” explains Erik Petersen, Head of Innovation.”

He continues: “Zilveren Kruis, part of Achmea, has long been working with The Micro Habit Company on wellbeing leadership programs for organizations, including on psychological safety. Sustainable behavioral change in the area of work and health fits seamlessly with Achmea’s vision of Sustainable Living Together. We are proud that we are now expanding the collaboration further.”

Each issue is translated into a scientifically grounded Micro Habit program, making behavior change accessible and measurable.

By leveraging a combination of gamification and a user-friendly app, the company provides an effective platform for teaching employees essential skills, including healthy lifestyle choices, AI adoption, and cybersecurity practices.
