AiSalon.ai, a global community that brings together entrepreneurs, developers, researchers, policymakers, investors, and the curious, announced that it has recently launched in Amsterdam.
Founded by Jeffrey D. Abbott of Blitzscaling Ventures, this initiative aims to unite those involved in AI technology.
What does AiSalon.ai offer?
In July 2023, Abbott spoke at a Techleap event hosted at the BrainCreators office, where he met Jasper Wognum, CEO of BrainCreators. This meeting led to a recording for the Automagic Podcast and laid the foundation for AiSalon.
AiSalon aims to leverage AI for positive global impact, fostering an inclusive and supportive community driven by a โpassionโ for technology and social progress. Through monthly events, it provides a platform for AI professionals to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and discover opportunities.
โAiSalon is scaling a decentralised global community of local chapters that create events and conversations for AI founders and builders, investors and partners to connect and collaborate in a culture of open communication, actively seeking and respecting diverse perspectives, and collectively leveraging the transformative power of generative AI for the betterment of humanity,โ says AiSalon.
Upon launching the community, which now spans 19 chapters globally, Abbott enlisted BrainCreators to host monthly events at their Houthavens office in Amsterdam. Techleap joined as a partner from the second edition, enhancing engagement across the tech community.
BrainCreators develops and markets AI-based products, including the digital road inspector INSPECH and the digital water monitor SEAGULL Surveillance.
According to a statement, Techleap is pivotal in accelerating the Dutch tech ecosystem by offering programmes and initiatives to improve access to capital, markets, and talent.
AiSalon Amsterdam
AiSalon Amsterdam offers an informal setting to enhance and broaden attendeesโ networks.
Each event features one or two speakers, followed by 1-minute pitches for demonstrations from participants ranging from ideas to fully developed products. Guests can also freely explore demo tables.
Jeff Abbott, founder of AiSalon, says, โWith AiSalon Amsterdam, we are taking a new step to let our European community flourish. Thanks to our partners, BrainCreators and Techleap, we are not only connecting people but also ideas and opportunities.โ
โTogether, we are forging a future where AI is driven by both innovation and inclusion,โ adds Abbott.
Almost every month, AiSalon is held at BrainCreators’ office, The Flow, in Amsterdam. The third edition, on June 20, will feature speakers, including Daniel Gebler, CTO of Picnic. Interested parties can register here.
