Amsterdam-based Mollie, a financial services provider, has announced the launch of Mollie Invoicing. This new solution allows users to send invoices from the Mollie Dashboard, addressing customer demand.
According to Mollie, customer feedback revealed a need for a proprietary invoicing solution. Consequently, the development of Mollie Invoicing is a step in enhancing services for B2B companies.
Previously, Mollie has also introduced business Buy Now Pay Later payment methods, 3 Business and Billie.
Simplifying the payment process
Mollie Invoicing simplifies payment processes by allowing users to add a Mollie Payment Link to invoices, directing customers to a payment page for easier transactions. It includes customisable invoice templates and lets users set their own payment terms.
Currently, Mollie Invoicing is available in all countries where Mollie operates including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Eastern Europe, the UK, and France.
Initially accessible via the Mollie Dashboard, integration into the full Mollie ecosystem is ongoing, with a complete rollout expected in the second half of the year.
Koen Köppen, CEO of Mollie, says, “At Mollie, our mission is to simplify payment processes for all companies. Customer feedback showed that our B2B customers need integrated payment solutions, including issuing, sending and processing invoices.”
“We have therefore worked hard to strengthen our range of B2B products. Mollie Invoicing is a great result of this,” adds Köppen.
Payments and financial solutions simplified
Founded in 2004 by Adrian Mol, Mollie is a payments platform that simplifies online payments for merchants. It offers an easy-to-implement process for integrating payments into websites or apps, aiming to remove the complexity of payment methods with its “simple yet powerful API”.
With a team of 750 people operating across Europe, the Dutch company currently processes payments for over 200,000 clients, supporting various local payment methods, including Mastercard, VISA, Amex, PayPal, iDEAL, and more.
In 2023, Mollie achieved a net revenue of €99M, a 36 per cent growth compared to 2022. This growth can be attributed to attracting new and larger customers and investments in new products like Mollie Capital and in-person payments.
Additionally, Mollie accelerated its international expansion efforts, particularly in Germany, France, and the UK. Earlier this year, in February 2024, the company launched Mollie Capital to provide UK merchants with fast and flexible financing.
