Amsterdam-based Seenons, a tech platform for circular waste management, announced that it is expanding into Switzerland by acquiring CP Recycling Management, a waste management specialist.
This move follows Seenons’ successful expansions in Belgium and Denmark. Both companies aim to improve waste stream management and advance circularity in Switzerland.
Seenons mentions in a statement that Switzerland faces high recycling costs, complex material recovery, and limited scalability of circular initiatives. Additionally, it depends on exports for certain waste streams, highlighting the need for local innovation and collaboration to improve waste management and sustainability.
“To tackle these challenges, we focus on technological innovation, professional data management, and a strong local network of partners,” says, Joost Kamermans, co-founder and CEO of Seenons.
“By combining digital solutions with the specialised expertise of CP Recycling, we can help businesses in Switzerland manage their waste streams more efficiently and achieve their circular goals faster.”
Optimising processes related to recycling
Based in Villaz-St-Pierre, CP Recycling Management helps businesses improve efficiency and transparency in waste management.
The company claims to have established itself as a key player in the Swiss waste market, emphasising transparency and sustainability.
Founded by Christian Piller, the company remains family-led, with his son, Rémi Piller, contributing to its ongoing development and maintaining long-term relationships with customers and partners.
Christian Piller, says, “For us, waste management is more than just a service; it is a responsibility. With Seenons by our side, we can support our customers even better. We now have access to innovative technology and a broader network while preserving the DNA of our family business.”
CP Recycling Management offers strategic advice and expertise in asset management, including compactors and containers. By optimising their use, businesses can reduce waste volumes, lower transportation costs, and improve recycling efficiency.
Rémi Piller says, “The right use of compactors and containers not only makes waste management more efficient but also contributes to a more sustainable and circular system.”
With Seenons’ technology, asset management is further optimised, giving businesses even greater insight into their waste streams and assets.
