The world of logistics and transportation has seen tremendous growth over the past few years, and one of the areas that have seen the most significant growth is last-mile delivery.
Last-mile delivery is the final leg of the delivery process where goods are transported from a hub or store to the end consumer.
This process can be challenging, especially in densely populated urban areas, and that’s where Amsterdam-based Sparqle comes in.
Sparqle: Focuses on ‘Riders first’ strategy
Co-founded by Tim van Alphen and Maurice Stam, Sparqle is a last-mile delivery solution that picks up and delivers goods from stores and hubs, including e-commerce, retail, food, and medicines.
With a focus on efficiency, reliability, and rider-centricity, Amsterdams Sparqle is rapidly scaling with partners and is now active in the 20 largest cities in the Netherlands.
“It is our mission to become the driving force with our technology the driving force behind Europe’s last-mile delivery industry as the most efficient, shared, and reliable riders-centric platform, which means that every decision is based on putting riders first,” says Ruurd Tjeerdema, co-founder of Sparqle.
The platform’s mission is to be the most efficient, shared, and reliable riders-centric platform, meaning every decision is based on putting riders first.
Sparqle says it uses ‘cutting-edge technology’ to optimise delivery routes, improve tracking and tracing, and enhance user experience. Consequently, the company’s platform reduces 40 per cent of the delivery cost and keeps up 100 per cent sustainability.
According to the startup, the technology is built with the riders, and partners in mind, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to make deliveries efficiently and safely.
Currently, Sparqle is seeking talented team members to join their team in Amsterdam, particularly:
- Junior developers
- Salespeople
- Content creators
