Amsterdam-based Vini Mini, a startup that offers nutritional products & supplements to prevent food allergies in a baby, announced on Thursday that it has secured funding from the Donor Impact Invest Fund (DIIF).
The company will use the funds to accelerate its platform growth.
The announcement comes three months after Laurie Lancee has been crowned as the winner of the FEM-START Up Awards 2023.
Research suggests that introducing peanuts and eggs to the baby at an early age and frequently can decrease the risk of peanut and egg allergies by 80 per cent.
According to doctors and the Nutrition Center, it is recommended to feed your baby peanuts and eggs before they reach 6 to 8 months old.
And here’s where Vini Mini’s nutritional supplements come into play.
Vini Mini: Simplifying infant nutrition
Founded by Laurie Lancee, Vini Mini is on a mission to simplify and improve infant nutrition.
Vini Mini was born out of Lancee’s exploration, which revealed several missing elements in the first 1000 days of a newborn’s life.
Lancee, alongside co-founder Jozien Boersma, aims to make the allergen introduction process easier, healthier, and safer for parents.
Its products offer a healthy, easy, and safe way of introducing allergens to babies, helping to reduce food allergies.
