The Netherlands-based Archipel Academy, an edtech company, announced on Saturday, July 1, that it has acquired Berlin’s Quofox GmbH, a firm that offers digital corporate learning solutions and exclusive enterprise services.

Archipel Academy is an edtech company that believes in the power of learning and creativity. It offers a complete AI-powered learning suite that aims to transform the learning and development environment.

The company hopes to transform the way learning happens by supporting lifelong learning and ensuring that relevance and future preparation are always within grasp.

Smart learning solutions for your teams

Founded in 2015, Quofox is an online platform for corporate learning and development. It offers a variety of courses and learning opportunities that can be tailored to the needs of organisations of various sizes.

The company also provides gamification, social learning, and analytics to assist employers in tracking employee growth and engagement. Its overall goal is to make corporate training more effective, entertaining, and accessible for both employees and enterprises.

Nele Mletschkowsky, former CEO of Quofox and current MD of Archipel Academy in the DACH region, says, “We founded Quofox with the aim of creating a platform where millions of people and hundreds of companies worldwide can find everything they need for their individual, learner-centred development.”

“It is our concern to give all people access to high-quality education and training to contribute to greater prosperity, equality, innovation, and growth in a digital world, in society as a whole, and in the economy.”

“By joining forces with Archipel, we can make this a reality and establish ourselves as a strong partner for the constantly growing learning and development needs of companies,” adds Mletschkowsky.

Aim of the acquisition

Within the next two years, Archipel Academy hopes to become the largest educational marketplace in the DACH area. The acquisition underscores the company’s goals of providing “top-class” experiences while also making a substantial social impact.

To improve and broaden its services, Archipel Academy will work with Quofox, which has an in-depth understanding of the DACH market. The acquisition will also strengthen the two businesses’ position in the market for learning and development solutions.

Archipel Academy and Quofox will continue to maintain interchange and direct dialogue with all stakeholders as the new developments unfold.

Omar Fouab, CEO of Archipel Academy, says, “Archipel Academy, a pioneer in lifelong learning and innovation, is dedicated to maintaining a level playing field and fostering a significant global social impact.

“With the rapidly changing world due to digitalisation and automation, we envision keeping individuals, teams, and organisations fit for the future. The acquisition of Quofox represents a crucial stride towards this goal.”

“Through our marketplace, we are making access to quality learning content possible, addressing the significant societal challenge posed by digitalisation and automation,” adds Fouab.
