Paris-based Ask for the moon (formerly named Wingzy), a knowledge management software, announced via a LinkedIn post that it has secured €2.5M in a fresh round of funding.
The round saw participation from Matterwave Ventures and UI Investissement, two “leading” players in the field of industrial Deeptech.
Capital utilisation
Ask for the moon plans to invest €5M in research and development over the next two years, hire 40 new employees (20 focused on R&D), and triple revenue through international expansion in key markets like Scandinavia and Germany by the next year.
“In 2024, we will continue to transform the way leading industrial groups share critical know-how through our Cogenerative Knowledge Platform,” says the company in a LinkedIn post.
Share and secure critical knowledge
Clément Dietschy, co-founder and president of Ask for the moon, drew upon his experience with three startups, including La Ruche qui dit Oui!, to establish Ask for the moon in 2018. The company’s co-founders also include Bénédicte Tilloy and Alexandre Storelli.
Dietschy’s motivation stemmed from the belief that harnessing the wealth of knowledge within a company requires asking the right questions to the right people at the right time.
Ask for the moon equips high-intelligence industry companies with essential tools for sharing and securing knowledge in critical sectors like nuclear, aerospace, and defence.
The company says, “We live in a world where information circulates at high speed and where reactivity is essential. For this reason, companies can no longer do without knowledge management solutions, especially if they have ambitions for international development.”
“Our solution has already proven itself with big names such as Framatome, Airbus Atlantic, SNCF Réseau, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, SPIE Nucléaire, and now has several thousand users.”
