Oxynade, a Ghent, Belgium-based online ticketing self-service platform for event organizers, raised €1.8M from Dutch investor Newion Investments. The Belgian startup provides ticketing technology for fairs, festivals, parties, venue owners, theaters, theme parks, arenas including a complete set of back office services.

Oxynade: expand internationally

Oxynade, founded in 2010, is currently active in 8 countries in multiple languages and currencies. Now, with support from Newion, the startup will further expand internationally. Current participants, early stage fund Arkafund and the Flemish seed and innovation fund Vinnof, will end their shareholding. Newion, a Heerenveen-based investment company, was founded in 2000. Its portfolio companies include known startups such as CustomerGauge, Instant Magazine, L1nda and The Next Ad.

eTaaS

Oxynade offers a eTicketing as a service (Oxynade calls this eTaaS, from software as a service or SaaS), via a white-label solution, which means the ticketing platform will be branded in their clients look-and-feel. The majority of ticketing companies use their own software. Offering a full software suite, the Ghent-based startup enables ticketing companies to have up-to-date ticketing software, based on the latest standards, without large up-front investments. Hence, ticketing companies can focus on their core activity: selling tickets.
