On Thursday, Enschede, the Netherlands-based Bizzdesign, a global enterprise architecture software company, announced the acquisition of Alfabet from Software GmbH.
Alfabet is a business transformation platform specialising in Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). More than 350 customers in over 40 countries use the company’s products to plan and manage business and IT change.
Conrad Langhammer, who will continue to lead the Alfabet division of the combined group, says, “The scope of EA is changing by being extended to previously unrelated business functions. Alfabet addresses this through its strategic portfolio management offering. The new Bizzdesign group combines our strengths to serve new IT-savvy business professionals with the technologies they need while continuing to support the fundamentals of the market.”
The acquisition
With this acquisition, the Dutch company expands its footprint to the SPM market.
As operating models change through digitalisation, interdependencies between business functions and IT increase.
Alfabet supports businesses, IT strategists, and planners to map and analyze these connections.
The announcement follows the acquisition of MEGA International, a global SaaS company operating in 52 countries that offers solutions for enterprise architecture, business process analysis, governance, risk, compliance, and data governance.
The combined group, which will operate as ‘Bizzdesign’, has approx. €110M in revenues, approx. 2,000 customers and over 600 employees, with a truly global presence.
Luca de Risi, COO of the combined group, adds, “It’s an exciting time for customers of all three businesses as the new group benefits from increased investments in innovation and a unified global presence. We have a long-term plan to unlock these benefits for customers while ensuring continuity of service.”
