Leiden-based ChannelEngine, a global marketplace and e-commerce management platform, has announced that it is downsizing its workforce by 10 per cent as a part of the business restructuring.

“While we’ve seen massive growth in recent years, our growth for this year is lower than anticipated due to the economic conditions we are all currently navigating. As a result, we’ve made the tough decision to restructure our business, which unfortunately includes a 10% workforce reduction,” Jorrit Steinz, Founder and CEO of ChannelEngine, says in a LinkedIn post.

According to Steinz, the decision to make these changes has been driven by the need to ensure the long-term success of ChannelEngine.

“We are in a prime position to provide the best ecommerce solution for brands and retailers, having gained traction and proven our ability to succeed. We have a clear strategy in place and will continue our journey to provide the largest and best ecommerce network and operating platform globally,” he adds.

The announcement comes three months after acquiring Vendiro, a company that provides online sellers access to more than 70 different European marketplaces.
