Last update:

Berlin-based CoachHub, a ‘mobile coaching cloud’ which enables personalised coaching for employees of all career levels, announced that it has raised $80M (approx €67.8M) in its Series B2 round of funding. With this, the company has increased its total Series B capital to $110M (approx €93.24M).

CoachHub has now raised a total of $130M (approx €110.2M) since 2019.

Investors

The round saw participation from Draper Esprit, RTP Global, HV Capital, Signals Venture Capital, Partech, and Speedinvest.

Speaking on the development, Christoph Hornung, investment director at Draper Esprit says, “What we are increasingly seeing with digital-first, highly enriched platforms such as CoachHub are more dynamic and – crucially – more accessible tools to transform companies through training and education. We are delighted to continue backing CoachHub as it makes huge strides in the US and Asia.”

Capital utilisation

The proceeds from this round will help CoachHub to continue its expansion that started three years ago. In just the first half of 2021, CoachHub exceeded 2020’s new business generation targets, tripled its number of employees, and added some of the biggest brands to its stable of clients. These include Fujitsu, Electrolux, Babbel, ViacomCBS and KPMG.

CoachHub co-founder and chief sales director, Yannis Niebelschütz, says, “This latest round of funding will allow us to meet the ever-growing demand for digital solutions for training and personal development, which has been triggered by the pandemic.”

What is CoachHub?

Founded in 2018 by Matti Niebelschuetz and Yannis Niebelschuetz, CoachHub is a digital coaching provider offering holistic people development programs to companies at a global scale.

The company enables organisations to create a personalised, measurable, and scalable coaching program for the entire workforce, regardless of department and seniority level. By doing so, organisations are able to achieve a multitude of benefits, including increased employee engagement, higher levels of productivity, improved job performance, and increased retention.

CoachHub uses artificial intelligence to match individuals with more than 2,500 certified business and well-being coaches in 70 countries. Coaching sessions are available in more than 60 languages.

The company has more than 300 employees from 42 nationalities across Europe, North America, and Asia, and this latest round of funding will fuel further expansion in the coming months.

Matti Niebelschütz says, “For too long, coaching has been inflexible, unscalable, and inaccessible to anyone but the highest executives. Democratising coaching for people of all career levels worldwide allows more organisations to tap into the positive impact on employee performance and well-being that comes from personalised coaching. Higher employee engagement rates and mental health awareness are vital in these tumultuous times.”
