With this funding, Seed Capital’s investment marks its first step into cybersecurity as part of a new strategy to back the next generation of Danish tech leaders.

“Moxso is tackling one of the hardest problems in cybersecurity, and we’re backing them as our first investment under Seed Capital’s new cybersecurity focus because they have both the ambition and the technology to become a global category leader,” says General Partner Geeta Schmidt at Seed Capital.

Other investor’s including Ugly Duckling Ventures and D2 Fund, also participated in the round.

The announcement comes over a year after raising €1.5M funding. Additionally, the funding round comes as the Danish company was selected to Google’s Growth Academy for Cybersecurity, quadrupled its headcount, and tripled its revenue to double-digit millions.

As part of the round, Geeta Schmidt, former CEO of Humio and one of Denmark’s most successful cybersecurity entrepreneurs, is joining Moxso as a board member.

Humio was acquired by CrowdStrike in 2021 in one of Denmark’s largest cybersecurity exits.

With this funding, the Danish company will accelerate product innovation in AI-driven risk intelligence, expand into new European markets, and grow its team across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions.

“This investment gives us the resources to accelerate development and expand across Europe. The demand is clear: organisations want measurable, automated resilience, not another compliance checkbox,” says Rune Boye Knudsen, CEO of Moxso.

What does Moxso solve?

Cyberattacks are becoming more personalised, making it easier for attackers to target individuals and exploit weaknesses.

Unfortunately, most awareness programs still train employees in the same generic way, ignoring their specific risks.

Traditional cybersecurity training often relies on outdated templates and infrequent lessons, with little focus on measuring effectiveness.

Here’s where Moxso comes into play!

Moxso: Helping businesses level up security

Founded by Rune Boye Knudsen & Mikkel Lindblom, Moxso is a cybersecurity company that turns human behaviour into risk intelligence.

“Companies don’t need more security training. They need systems that adapt as quickly as attackers do,” says Rune Boye Knudsen.

By analysing live signals, building evolving risk profiles, and delivering adaptive interventions, Moxso transforms employees into active defenders.

The company’s platform offers a better approach by:

  • Analysing employee behaviour to gather useful intelligence.
  • Creating risk profiles that change as behaviour shifts.
  • Providing targeted support only where it’s needed.

“Every attack starts with a human decision. Moxso ensures those decisions tilt the odds back in the company’s favour,” adds Rune Boye Knudsen.

Currently, the company is active in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, with expansion across Europe underway.
