Belgium and Denmark-based LetsBuild, a company on a mission to bring clarity to the construction industry through digital technology, announced on Wednesday, November 2, that it has raised €6.3M in a fresh round of funding.

The company wants to rededicate resources to its existing services and bring entirely new products to the market.

Investors in this round

The round was led by Fortino Capital, with the participation of KAYA, Matexi and Solar.

Filip Van Innis, Investment Director at Fortino Capital, says, “We believe this is the right team, with ever-improving products for its existing customers and promising new products for new use cases. We’re excited to be working together every day on how LetsBuild can bring more and more clarity to construction teams.”

What does LetsBuild offer?

LetsBuild was formed in 2019 with the merger of Geniebelt and Aproplan. LetsBuild says that These two products, one of which covers the project planning process and the other continues the path into QHSE and site management, are the cornerstone of the company’s success.

The company creates tools that assist teams to plan and track the project both on and off-site and ultimately turn it into a digital, trackable, and shared process.

The simplest option for contractors to digitise their snagging, quality, and safety management is with LB Aproplan. For multi-project construction, LB Geniebelt is a real-time Gantt planning module that centres all progress and communication around the plan. The company says its  the best way to increase alignment and visibility on-site.

According to the company, every day, more than 10,000 construction professionals across Europe use LetsBuild tools to bring clarity to the complexity of construction.

Currently, LetsBuild employs 70+ people from 16+ countries, including Copenhagen, Brussels, London and Poland.

Thomas Goubau, CEO Q7Leader (AproPlan founder) says, “There’s a real pride to see LetsBuild continuing to execute every day with the spirit and sentiment that I founded AproPlan. The promise we pursued in the merger is becoming clearer every day as the vision of what’s possible becomes clearer and clearer.”

Building the future of construction

LetsBuild says it is ready to commit to the future of its existing products. “We’re increasing the size of our focused product teams for each app, led by expert product managers. That investment doesn’t just go into developing new features, it includes dedicated resources working every day on small bugs and tweaks.”

“The first area we are tackling is the site diary (aka construction log/ site journal). This ubiquitous duty is the starting point for so much data on site. It holds many of the answers to what’s happening at the coal face, every day. It’s time to bring it into the mix – and, perhaps most importantly, in a way that will sync data with your other LetsBuild tools,” says LetsBuild in a statement.

LB Site Diary and LB Coordination are the team’s latest products, bringing decades of digital construction experience to bear against new challenges for site foremen.
