Delft-based Perciv AI, a deep-tech startup specialised in AI for radar perception, announced on Thursday that it has secured €2.5M in a seed funding round led by DayOne Capital and Keen Venture Partners, joined by Vinci Venture Capital.
With this investment, the Dutch AI startup will expand its operations further and scale its radar-based perception solutions across various industries such as automotive, robotics, and aerospace.
Perciv AI: Developing dedicated AI for radar perception
Automation in these industries is costly due to expensive LiDAR sensors, or technically challenging due to limitations of traditional radar perception.
Founded by Balazs Szekeres, Dr. Andras Palffy, and Srimannarayana Baratam, alumni of TU Delft, Perciv AI solves these issues by delivering LiDAR-like performance at a lower cost using advanced AI-driven radar and radar-camera fusion technology.
This solution allows automated systems, robots, and vehicles to perceive their surroundings in all conditions accurately and is compatible with any type of radar, range, or application.
