Destinus, a company sepcialised in aerospace and defense technology, has acquired key assets, technology, and personnel from Aerialtronics, a Dutch company focused on multicopter UAV platforms.

This transaction marks Destinus’ second strategic acquisition in the Netherlands.

“This acquisition aligns with the European Union’s recent €800B defense investment plan, as outlined in the ReArm Europe initiative,” says Destinus CEO Mikhail Kokorich.

The acquisition was completed following Aerialtronics’ bankruptcy proceedings, in full compliance with Dutch insolvency laws and regulations.

Destinus acquired the technology assets and intellectual property rather than the legal entity itself, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of operations.

The acquisition also helps Destinus to expands it’s footprint in the Netherlands while adding AI-driven drone capabilities to its aerospace portfolio.

“By integrating Aerialtronics’ innovative UAV solutions with our existing aerospace technologies, we are ready to deliver unparalleled value across multiple dual-use industries and the European military market,” adds Kokorich.

Aerialtronics: Creating drone solutions

The Dutch company Aerialtronics is known for creating drone solutions that combine advanced sensors with AI-based detection and analytics.

These systems turn raw IoT data into useful business information, linking aerial applications with everyday operations.

The acquisition includes Aerialtronics’ intellectual property, technologies, and its skilled team, who will join Destinus to advance UAV technology.

This move enhances Destinus’ role in the aerospace sector and supports the European Union’s investments in defense and security.

By merging Aerialtronics’ UAV technology with Destinus’ expertise, the goal is to improve dual-use applications in defense, security, and logistics.

“Customer proximity remains a central pillar of our growth strategy,” adds Mr. Kokorich. “Our expanded Dutch presence puts us closer to key European markets while leveraging the region’s exceptional talent pool in aerospace engineering and AI development.”
