Netherlands-based Aqqo, a venue management software provider, announced that it has acquired LVP, a Dutch software provider for managing sports facilities and community venues, primarily serving municipalities since 1988.
Founded by Hein Lambert as Lambert Venture Promotion BV, LVP evolved from a consultancy into a software house, developing a range of software packages, including AMIS for managing sports facilities.
The company offers solutions such as microcomputer networks and introduced a client/server system with Java, paving the way for SaaS services. In 1997, Annet Miedema formalised AMIS under Compudienst/LVP and took over full-time leadership in 2005.
Today, LVP’s software serves clients like APG and major Dutch municipalities.
Annet Miedema, the former owner of LVP, says, “We have always led through constant innovation and adapting to our customers’ needs. Merging our expertise with Aqqo is a natural next step.”
Aim of the acquisition
Aqqo and LVP join forces to become the market leader in venue management software for municipally managed sports accommodations, now serving over 100 municipalities.
Jop Hofste, co-founder of Aqqo, says, “LVP has built a strong reputation with major municipalities such as Amsterdam and Utrecht. With LVP’s experience and client network, we are strengthening our market position and can offer even more value to our existing customers.”
“We are combining the expertise of both teams to further develop the best venue management software for the market and achieve our shared vision.”
The partnership between both companies enhances their combined offering and boosts their competitiveness in government tenders. LVP customers will benefit from uninterrupted service, now improved by Aqqo’s capabilities.
Annet Miedema adds, “After nearly 40 years, I have found the ideal partner in Aqqo to ensure continuity and better serve our customers.”
