Amsterdam-based TAP (Talent Acceleration Platform), an edtech and career acceleration platform, recently announced that it has secured $1M (approximately €969K) funding. This round was led by the Hague-based Invest International and includes contributions from a group of impact angel investors.

The Dutch-Palestinian company will use the funds to strengthen its impact in Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon, where it already operates.

It will also launch a new AI-powered platform to change how young people find jobs.

“Jobs are the ultimate equaliser, especially remote jobs—they break down barriers and level the playing field, no matter the circumstances or local limitations,” says Jafar, co-founder and CTO of TAP, who was born and raised in Nablus, Palestine, where he continues to live and innovate.

The announcement comes over a year after raising $1M in funding from Wamda Capital with participation from the World Bank, Loyal VC, and other angel investors in 2023.

TAP: Career acceleration platform

Founded in 2018 by Jafar Shunnar and Christian Vezjak, TAP initially aimed to create jobs in Gaza, however, it has evolved into a fully scalable tech solution set to launch in early 2025.

The company’s approach includes global mentorship networks, personalised coaching, and innovative tools to empower individuals to build meaningful careers without leaving their countries.

TAP claims to have achieved significant growth in Palestine, a region burdened by occupation and systemic injustice, resulting in the marginalisation of youth.

In 2023, the company created 30 to 40 remote jobs. In 2024, the figures have been doubled to over 100 remote roles.

The company has also expanded into Lebanon and Jordan since early 2024, addressing similar employment challenges in these markets.

Notably, the company’s team started building an AI-driven job creation platform in early 2024 to empower youth to take ownership of their job searches, build global networks, and secure meaningful remote opportunities.

TAP says this platform is already being tested through pilot projects with three leading education NGOs and is also available directly to individuals seeking effective job-hunting solutions.

“The underlying technology and core concepts driving our platform are consistently proving their effectiveness. We could be on the cusp of creating transformative change. Our AI-driven tools have the potential to revolutionise how underserved youth access opportunities—not just in Palestine, Jordan, or Lebanon, but worldwide,” says Tabea, TAP’s Head of Product, based in Berlin.

With the upcoming launch of its AI-powered job-hunting platform and the expansion of partnerships across the region, TAP aims to create 1,000 jobs in 2025.

Over the past year, TAP has onboarded over 1,000 mentors from across the globe.

“We are building a movement to challenge the systemic injustices that lock young people out of opportunities. With every supporter, we grow stronger—and we won’t stop until a future where opportunity is accessible to all becomes a reality,” Christian reaffirms.
