ElevenLabs, a voice AI research & deployment company, announced that it has opened its new European headquarters in London, marking a major step in its global expansion.

ElevenLabs mentions in a statement that London is the “perfect place” for its next growth phase. The capital combines cultural diversity, access to talent and innovation, and proximity to other tech hubs.

Since its inception in 2022, London and the UK have been integral to ElevenLabs’ story. Co-founders Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dabkowski started their careers in the capital city.

The new office!

ElevenLabs is a remote-first, global company with talent distributed across over 15 countries in Europe, Asia, and North America, embracing a diverse workforce to tap into top AI research talent from anywhere.

To support those who prefer in-person collaboration, the company is opening physical hubs, starting with a new office on Wardour Street in London, which currently houses over 20 employees and aims to grow to 100 within the coming years.

ElevenLabs mentions, “We’re opening physical hubs for those who prefer to work in person, starting with the London office, soon to be followed by new spaces set to open in New York and Warsaw.”

The London office will also feature an incubator-style space for local startups and creatives working with AI audio, offering access to ElevenLabs credits, free office space, and community events.

Mati Staniszewski, CEO and co-founder of ElevenLabs says, “We can’t think of a better place to open our central hub. My co-founder Piotr and I came to the UK to study over 10 years ago, and we’re continuously inspired by the people and the plethora of opportunities available.”

“From AI safety to AI innovation, we’re excited to contribute to this vibrant ecosystem. As we build an international team spanning many countries, we’re happy to find a location that reflects our company’s culture while staying globally well-connected.”

Support from London & Partners

ElevenLabs is collaborating with London & Partners to support inclusive and sustainable growth in Europe and engage with London’s AI community.

According to London & Partners, 77 per cent of international business leaders view London as a supportive hub for AI development, with 45 per cent citing favourable government incentives as a key advantage.

Janet Coyle CBE, MD of Grow London at London & Partners, says, “The fact that we have incredibly innovative companies like ElevenLabs choosing London for its European headquarters is not only a testament to the city’s thriving ecosystem but also to our solid AI credentials.”

“Our research shows that over three-quarters (77 per cent) of decision makers at international AI companies consider London to be more supportive of AI development than other major AI hubs. We’re thrilled to have ElevenLabs join us here and play an important part in developing the technology of tomorrow.”

ElevenLabs is inviting those interested in breaking down communication barriers with AI audio to explore open roles and join their team.

The company has also announced a forthcoming hub and investment in Poland, where both founders are from and where the company idea originated.
