ElevenLabs, an audio AI company, announced on Tuesday that it has launched its grants programme, an initiative to give early-stage innovators free access to cutting-edge AI.
An initial batch of over 4,000 grants will be awarded to innovators experimenting with leveraging audio AI and incorporating it into their workflow.
Each grants recipient will unlock 11 million text characters monthly for three months, for free, to help them develop, test, and scale their products or experiences.
It will eliminate a common barrier to entry for many emerging platforms, with the program enabling them to explore and incorporate cutting-edge AI tools at no cost.
Overall, the grants program will see over 100B text-to-speech & dubbing AI characters shared through the first wave of grants.
Grants qualification
To qualify for grants from ElevenLabs, startups or companies must complete a short application form and include details of how their product or business will incorporate human-like AI voices.
Eligible startups must have at least 25 employees when receiving the grant. The recipients of the grants will receive 11 million characters each month for three months for free.
The company encourages innovators working globally on projects across the B2C and B2B spheres to apply to the program.

After the grant ends, recipients can convert their grant plans to an enterprise plan at a significant discount, switch to our standard plans, or cancel them.
