Luxembourg-based emma, a cloud management platform, announced on Monday, that it has secured $17M (approximately €16.2M) in a Series A funding round led by Smartfin, with participation from RTP Global and existing investors.

The funding comes over a year after raising $6M (approximately €5.7M) in the Seed round in March 2023, bringing total funding to $23M (approximately €21.9M) within two years.

Fund utilisation

The funding will help improve product development, speed up marketing efforts, and enhance customer support to meet the rising demand for effective cloud management solutions.

The capital injection will also allow the company to bring new features to the platform, including AI accelerators, enhanced security, broader cloud integrations, and more robust automation capabilities.

Additionally, the company intends to establish a research and development centre at its headquarters in Luxembourg to support product development and address the increasing demands of its growing customer base.

emma: Streamline cloud operations

Founded in 2019, emma enables organisations to streamline cloud operations, reduce costs, and improve agility through its intuitive platform.

The platform combines advanced AI-driven automation, real-time analytics, and comprehensive multi-cloud management capabilities, allowing teams to gain full visibility and control over their cloud environments.

emma simplifies cloud ecosystems, helping businesses optimise workloads, predict usage, and manage multi-cloud strategies for better resource allocation and financial planning.

CEO, Dmitry Panenkov comments, “At emma, we’re shaping the future of cloud operations. As businesses grow, they need the freedom to scale across any provider without limitations. We’re building the standards to make cloud-agnostic operations a reality. This funding accelerates our mission to give companies the control and flexibility they need to optimise across all environments.”
