Rotterdam-based Eneco, an energy company that invests in startups and scaleups that help promote the energy transition, announced the appointment of Martijn Hagens as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 March 2026.
Until that date, Kees-Jan Rameau holds the position of CEO.

Who is Martijn Hagens?
Martijn Hagens is currently Senior Vice-President and Head of Business Area Markets at Vattenfall, and a member of the Executive Group Management of that organisation.
In addition to his responsibilities within Vattenfall’s functional line organisation, Martijn is also CEO of Vattenfall’s Dutch subsidiary.
He previously held various leadership positions at Vattenfall and NUON.
He graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
