Austrian startup Flinn.ai secures €6M to transform medtech quality and compliance with AI automation

Vienna-based Flinn.ai, a startup that automates and optimises compliance processes for medtech companies, has secured €6M in seed round funding. This brings the company’s total raised capital to €10M within the past 18 months.

The round was led by Berlin-based early-stage venture firm Cherry Ventures, with continued support from existing investors Speedinvest and SquareOne Venture Capital.

Business angels including Matthias Weber, former President at Leica Biosystems, and Michael Reitermann, former CEO of Siemens Diagnostics also participated in this round.

Capital utilisation

The funds will help Flinn.ai accelerate its mission to empower creators of health products by enhancing their ability to build and operate high-quality products with a tenfold increase in efficiency. 

The company also plans to develop its AI-driven modules further for quality management and regulatory compliance.

Founded in 2022 by Bastian Krapinger-Rüther, Markus Müller and Hasib Samad, Flinn.ai aims to transform the medtech sector with its Software-as-a-Service solutions. The company specialises in automating post-market surveillance and streamlining compliance processes to enhance efficiency for medtech manufacturers. 

Flinn.ai looks to empower medical device manufacturers to automate compliance, enabling them to launch and operate high-quality products with ten times the efficiency while ensuring 100 per cent compliance. 

The company employs a customer-centric, experimentation-driven approach to product development.

Its first product features AI-assisted post-market surveillance automation, offering tools for automated data collection, integrated compliance actions, efficient evaluation, and MDR-compliant reporting. 

Flinn.ai’s three key modules include Automated Safety Database Surveillance, Intelligent Literature Evaluation, and AI-Driven Complaint Data Handling, all designed to improve productivity and risk management in the medtech industry.
