Berlin-based Foodora, a food delivery service provider across Europe, has launched Saver Delivery, a new option aimed at providing more flexibility and affordability for customers.
According to the company, this new delivery service complements the existing Standard and Priority options, offering a cost-effective choice for those willing to wait longer for their orders.
What does the ‘Saver Delivery’ option offer?
Foodora has launched its Saver Delivery option, available for restaurant orders in major cities in Austria and Finland.
The service allows Foodora to optimise delivery routes by grouping orders, reducing costs for customers while offering vendors the chance to increase their orders. Restaurants can prepare meals later in the process, ensuring affordability without compromising food quality.
Nicolas Daudin, Chief Product Officer at Foodora, Yemeksepeti and Foodpanda, says, “Saver Delivery aligns with Fodora’s mission to deliver affordability and flexibility to customers while empowering its ecosystem to thrive. We’re testing and launching new products to meet the diverse needs of our customers, making their daily lives easier.”
“By introducing Saver Delivery, we’re enabling more people to enjoy their favourite meals at a lower cost, while restaurants benefit from increased orders. For those who value speed, Prio Delivery offers a potentially faster option for an additional fee, ensuring every customer can choose the delivery experience that fits their needs.”
The Saver Delivery option, launched in December 2024 in most Austrian and Finnish cities, offers lower delivery fees, potentially saving up to 15 per cent compared to Standard delivery. Saver Delivery will be expanded to additional countries in 2025.
