He was already one of the more prolific mentors in the Amsterdam branche of Startupbootcamp, one of the two international accelerators in The Netherlands. Now, MyOrder’s current CEO Michael Dooijes will join their new vertical in fintech and cybersecurity as managing director. The move further strengthens the ties between Rabobank, current owner of fintech startup MyOrder, and Startupbootcamp. Dooijes was also an innovation director at the Dutch cooperative bank.

“I decided to take up a new challenge outside the bank after nine great years with Rabobank Group. As of this summer, I will be taking a new role as the Managing Director for the new FinTech & CyberSecurity program of Startupbootcamp in Amsterdam. A fantastic opportunity to use my corporate and entrepreneurial experience in a challenging new role”, Dooijes writes in an email to SBC’s stakeholders.

“I see the last 5 years as CEO of MyOrder and as a member of Rabobank’s innovation board as the absolute best years during my time at Rabo and thus I am very grateful for the opportunities that Rabo gave me to develop myself further. These last years in FinTech were the most fun and fulfilling but it’s time to move on.”

There is a perfect match with Startupbootcamp, leveraging my skills and experience and help rejuvenate and grow the FinTech & CyberSecurity Industry, with our new program and together with our mentors and partners. New minds see new opportunities to build and connect – experience helps steer the new thinking into the right direction and helps to navigate the various complexities of the Industry.”

Startupbootcamp’s new program will be announced today, with Dooijes at the realm. According to the MD, the definition of fintech is a to be seen in its broadest sense. Ranging from technologies such as blockhain and internet of things, to mega trends such as P2P and data privacy protection.
