Netherlands-based Hexwise, a company focused on optimising industrial energy efficiency through insights into heat transfer performance, has closed its pre-seed funding round. The amount, however, remains undisclosed.
The round saw investment from Rockstart, Oost NL, along with support from several angel investors.
Capital utilisation
The funding will help Hexwise to expand its digital twin technology to more air-cooled heat exchangers, forge strategic partnerships, and expand internationally.
The company says, “At Hexwise, we envision a future where every industrial heat exchanger operates at its optimal point, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient world. With this funding, we are one step closer to making that vision a reality.”
“Stay tuned as we continue to innovate and lead the way in industrial process and heat transfer management solutions. Together, we are not just advancing industrial operations; we are shaping a more efficient, sustainable future.”
Renewable energy power generation
Founded in 2023 by Niels Bergsma, Roy Manting and Pim van Ramshorst, Hexwise is a spin-off of Wilton Heat Transfer Services.
With support from Wilton’s management, the startup aims to optimise heat exchanger usage to reduce emissions, energy consumption, and operational costs while increasing production revenue for industries globally.
Hexwise claims to transform industrial energy efficiency using advanced technologies like the Internet of Things (IIoT), Big Data, Cloud Computing, and AI.
By optimising Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE) through data-driven insights, Hexwise helps clients enhance energy efficiency and production. This approach benefits businesses as well as supports sustainability goals, making industries more eco-friendly.
Here’s how Hexwise’s remote equipment monitoring works:
- Sensor Mounting and Connectivity: Hexwise equips equipment with hardware for continuous parameter measurements. This hardware establishes a secure, stand-alone connection to Hexwise’s cloud environment.
- Data Storage and Processing: All incoming data is continuously stored and processed within Hexwise’s cloud. Data models perform necessary calculations, and automated alarms are triggered for warnings as needed.
- Analysis, Reporting, and Dashboarding: Hexwise’s experts provide continuous monitoring of equipment. They contact when actions are necessary or recommended. Additionally, users can receive frequent reports or access to live dashboards to stay informed about their equipment’s performance.
“We remotely monitor your equipment and inform you on when, how and why to act,” says the company.
