“Highsail is the kind of practical AI we love to back: embedded, and ROI-driven,” says Pieterjan Bouten, founder of Entourage. “They’re not chasing AI hype – they are solving a massive pain point for an industry that has been underserved, with technology that actually works in the real world.”
The startup will use the funds to accelerate product development and global expansion from Highsail’s base in Ghent, Belgium.
Highsail will utilise the capital to expand its team quickly, specifically in engineering, product management, and the marketing department.
What does Highsail solve?
Field operations worldwide are facing significant challenges. The market is growing at 12-15 per cent each year, but finding skilled workers is increasingly difficult.
Teams are wasting hours each day rewriting job notes, chasing missing information and manually updating clunky tools and checklists that were supposed to make their lives easier.
While many white collar workers are reaping the benefits from AI and increased automation, field service professionals are left behind.
Here’s where Highsail comes into play
Highsail: Solving a frontline problem
Founded by Jonas Maeyens (former founder at Cronos Group) and Lance De Waele (former founding engineer at Tekst), Highsail brings AI to the frontline of field operations.
Highsail instantly converts field workers’ voice updates, photos, and notes into completed reports, ERP entries, and follow-up tasks through AI, eliminating hours of daily admin work.
“We believe frictionless data capture is the foundation for transforming field service efficiency,” says Jonas Maeyens, co-founder and CEO. “Our customers see immediate ROI – better data quality translates into faster job completion, reducing administrative overhead by over 70% and directly improving their margins and customer satisfaction.”
The company makes sure there’s no loss of information between the field and the office.
Every update, measurement, and observation is instantly available across the organisation.
“Bringing clean, frictionless products to users that are used to clumsy legacy tooling is very rewarding,” adds Lance De Waele, co-founder and CTO. “With the capabilities of current AI, Highsail can improve the quality, speed and enjoyment of field administration tenfold. We’re embedding AI directly into the flow of field work – and that’s where the magic happens.”
The company is on a mission to bring AI-powered efficiency to service professionals in the field.
At present, the Ghent startup works with customers, including Climagroup, Elneo, and Firma Beel.
“In a sector like HVAC where the talent gap is growing, tools like Highsail help us stay competitive,” says Stijn Cools, COO at Climagroup. “Both our technicians and back office benefit, and in the end we deliver better service without overloading our teams — and that matters when every minute counts.”
As per the company’s claims, they are already seeing measurable impact across industrial maintenance, field service, and inspections, with global field service companies now onboarding.
