Amsterdam-based Holland FinTech, an association that offers access to innovative financial services and fintech solutions, announced that it has appointed seasoned non-executive board member Annemieke Roobeek as its chairperson.
With the appointment of an independent board president, Holland Fintech says it has taken the final step to enhance its governance. The firm says that it is an “important step to connect the fintech ecosystem to all relevant stakeholders and to the current viewpoints in society.”
Who is Annemieke Roobeek?
Annemieke Roobeek is an experienced board member, chairperson, founder, and owner of several companies with over 20 years of experience in the financial, technology, and investment industries. She will join Holland FinTech as President of the Board.
Holland FinTech says she is especially qualified to play a key role in the fintech ecosystem given her roles as a professor of Strategy and Transformation Management, president of Social Finance NL, and former bank supervisor.
Don Ginsel, founder and CEO of Holland Fintech, says, “With the appointment of Annemieke Roobeek as chairperson, we gain much supervisory experience in the board, and add a strong drive to make impact, in particular on social themes. Annemieke underwrites the principles on which Holland FinTech has been built, but also brings new flavours and viewpoints. We are very excited to continue to expand the work of Association Holland FinTech with her guidance.”
