Palo Alto, CA-based Inflection AI, an ‘AI Studio’ that specialises in creating personal AI, announced on Thursday, June 29, that it has raised $1.3B (approximately €1.1B) in fresh round of funding led by Microsoft, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, and new investor NVIDIA.
The new funding brings the company’s total fundraising to $1.525B (approximately €1.39B).
The funding will support the company’s continued work to build and design Inflection’s first product Pi (personal intelligence).
The announcement comes over a year after raising $225M (approximately €207M) in early 2022. Greylock, Microsoft, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, Mike Schroepfer, Demis Hassabis, Will.i.am, Horizons Ventures, and Dragoneer participated in that round.
Pi – Kind and supportive companion
Pi is designed to be a kind and supportive companion offering text and voice conversations, friendly advice, and concise information in a natural, flowing style.

The Pi experience is intended to prioritise conversations with people. While other AIs serve as productivity, search, or answer questions, Pi is a coach, confidante, creative partner, or sounding board.
Pi is currently available across all platforms – App (iOS), desktop, and Whatsapp. Inflection AI has also promised to roll out an Android version of the app soon.
Building a largest AI cluster in the world
Along with its partners CoreWeave and NVIDIA, Inflection AI is building the largest AI cluster in the world comprising 22,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs.
In just over a year, Inflection AI has developed one of the most sophisticated large language models in the market. This is to enable people to interact with Pi in the most simple, natural way and receive fast, relevant and helpful information and advice.

Founded in 2022 by Mustafa Suleyman, Karén Simonyan, and Reid Hoffman, Inflection AI is an ‘AI Studio’ that specialises in creating personal AIs.
The company’s mission is to make personal AI available worldwide.
The company is set up as a Public Benefit Corporation. The Inflection AI team includes some of the industry’s top AI experts who previously worked at DeepMind, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Meta.
