With the second Amsterdam Capital Week just over a month away, more and more original events are being announced. Two exciting events that will be of interest to founders as well as have just been revealed. One will take place in the confined cozy space of a limousine, the other will take place across a whole island. Do you feel like taking a ride on Limo Tour 2.0? Or does sailing out to Angel Island sound more appealing to you?
“Limousine Pitch”
Present Your Startup has announced it will roll out its Big Informal Investors Limo Tour 2.0, after last year’s inaugural edition proved to be a success. On Friday September 30th startups can present themselves to a small select crowd of investors in the informal setting of a limousine. Entrepreneurs can do a quick “Limousine Pitch” during a ride through the scenic city centre of Haarlem.
Drinks afterwards
Present Your Startup specifically recommends their event for informal investors who are still getting their bearings in the startup scene. During the Limo Tour they will enjoy presentations by several promising startups while sipping on champagne at the same time. After the Limo Tours there will be the opportunity for socializing and networking over drinks at Present Your Startup’s Meet Your Startup network event. No pitching allowed at Angel Island
Meanwhile, a brand new “unconference” event by the name of Angel Island has announced itself. This gathering of startups and angel investors will be so informal that no pitching is even allowed. On the 28th of September, Angel Island will take 400 handpicked guests to the island of Pampus to experience what they describe as “a community-driven festival”. The attendees will consist of about 250 startup founders and 150 Virgin investors as well as angel investors. Some EU Community leaders will also attend.
Finding the right angel
Initiator Ton van’t Noordende (partner at Keadyn) explains how the event will provide angels and founders with the much-needed opportunity to get in touch with eachother:
“The number one question I get asked by startup founders is “how to find the right angel”? Crazy enough, angels ask the exact same question”.
