Amsterdam-based Anywyse, an AI learning startup, has announced that its core technology has been acquired by Learnbeat, a Leiden-based digital education platform.
“The technology we built has been acquired by Learnbeat, a leading digital education platform here in the Netherlands. It’s a natural next step, a strong home where the product can grow and reach more people,” says Julien Jukema, founder of Anywyse.
Anywyse: Making knowledge accessible through audio
Founded in 2021 by Julien Jukema, a University of Amsterdam (UvA) alumnus, Anywyse aims to revolutionise learning by making knowledge accessible through audio.
These audio bites, ranging from 10 to 15 minutes in duration, are designed to enhance knowledge retention using scientifically-proven methods.
Teachers and learning and development (L&D) experts can simply upload their written material, and Anywyse technology handles the audio script and voice
Jukema’s inspiration stemmed from his personal experience of chemotherapy, which temporarily impaired his reading ability.
During this time, he discovered podcasts as a valuable source of learning.
However, he noticed a lack of didactic podcasts focused on helping listeners retain information. Determined to make a difference, Jukema embarked on a mission to create a solution.
Learnbeat: Personalising education
Based out of Leiden, Learnbeat is a digital learning platform in the Netherlands that supports teachers and students with interactive and personalised educational tools.
Teachers can create custom lessons, modify existing materials, and monitor student performance in real time through user-friendly dashboards. The platform simplifies tasks such as assignment preparation, digital testing, and grading.
Students have access to a structured overview of their progress, homework, and learning goals. Adaptive practice tools allow them to focus on areas needing improvement and revisit key concepts as needed.
Mentors can gain insights into student development across subjects, supporting skill growth through digital portfolios.
Learnbeat also offers resources like interactive quizzes, study planners, and custom workbooks, all integrated into one cohesive environment.
